 Stages Of Development(विकास के चरण) प्रसव-पूर्व अवस्था( prenatal stage) शैशवावस्था(Infancy) 0-2वर्ष पूर्व बाल्यावस्था( Early childhood) 2-6  वर्ष उत्तर बाल्यावस्था( Later Childhood) 6-12 वर्ष किशोरावस्था ( Adolescence)12-18 वर्ष Note- W.H.O का मानना है कि 10 से 19 वर्ष की आयु वर्ग किशोरावस्था के अंतर्गत आता है प्रसव-पूर्व अवस्था( prenatal stage) यह गर्भधान की अवस्था है  यह अवस्था 9 माह 10 दिन या 280 दिन या 42 Week की होती है शारीरिक विकास सबसे तेजी से प्रसव पूर्व अवस्था में होता है (यह जन्म से पहले का है) विकास प्रसव पूर्व से शुरू होता है शैशवावस्था (Infancy) यह अवस्था जन्म से 2 वर्ष तक चलती है  इस अवस्था में लगभग 15 से 20 दिन तक बच्चा नवजात कहलाता है  तीव्र समायोजन का समय है  शारीरिक वृद्धि और विकास की दर तीव्र होती है  इस अवस्था में बालक 7-8 poundऔर 19 से 20 इंच लंबाई होती है  इस अवस्था में बच्चा 80 %टाइम होता रहता है ज्ञानेंद्रियों से सीखता है  गति क्रिया करके सीखता है प्याजे ने भी कहा है  Sensitive Period शैशवावस्था में गतिविधियां  सामान्य क्रिया - इन क्रियाओं में बालक पूरी बॉडी
